學校 大多數學生之年齡介於五歲至十八歲之間，另設有成人班提供成人學習中文。目前本校有九百多名學生，依其中文能力分成近五十個班別，課本以僑委會提供的華語課本及初中華文為主。學習語文是各年級之主要課程。學校教授基本發音、注音符號、漢語拼音、字體、文法、標點符號、會話、聽寫及中國文化。除此之外，另設有多項選修課程，內容包括國畫、書法、紙藝、圍棋及象棋、編結、中文電腦、基本會話、歷史、地理、詩詞、舞蹈、笛子、弦樂、領導能力訓練及運動才能之培養。近年來，更引進電腦輔助教學，以期提高學生學習之興趣及效率。另設有校外學分班。此學分班已經南加州部分學區核准。

ICS students range in age from five to eighteen years old, Adult classes are also offered. The current enrollment is approximately 950 students who are placed in one of fourteen grades, depending on their language ability and their placement test. Language Arts is required curriculum for all grades. The course includes instructions in traditional phonetics, Han Yu Pin-Yin, writing, grammar, punctuation, conversation, customs, folklore and other aspect of Chinese culture. In addition, we offer elective classes such as Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, chess, crafts, carton, performing arts, computer, sports and others. ICS also offers a special program for high school students that allow them to earn five credits each semester. This program has been approved by the following school districts: Newport Mesa, Saddleback, Huntington Beach Union High, Irvine, Tustin, Orange, Capistrano and Fountain Valley...
